Orange and Yellow

Seed collected from both orange and yellow plants, however, plants can cross pollinate. Beautiful blooms on 2' tall plants which flower June-November, and in some places on the coast, throughout the year. It is frost tolerant, flowers are monoecious, having individual flowers either male or female, but both sexes on the same plant. Pollinated by bees. Tolerant of a variety of soil conditions, prefers a moist soil and at least part shade. Both the leaves and flowers are edible and highly nutritious. One of the best known and versatile herbs.
