Lychnis coronaria

Rose Campion. (a.k.a. Silene coronaria) The flowers of these descendants of 'Angel's Blush' open white and age to pale pink, sometimes with a darker eye. The Wool Carder Bees scrape the silvery, felt-like leaves for nesting material. A short-lived perennial that persists by self-sowing. I have seeds of the typical magenta type, too.
