Peruvian Purple

Small, bushy ornamental pepper. Solid purple stems, purple-green leaves. Fruit small, conical, erect, dark purple-black when immature ripening to a dark red with some persistent purple stripes. 1.5" long, 1" wide. Purple flowers. Nice plant stature. 2.5' tall. Fruit are late maturing and very seedy but have a pleasant flavor. Thick walls, tough skin. Capsicum annuum. SSE Accession # 117277
