a vigorous evergreen ground cover which can persist for many decades once established, superficially similar in leaf structure to the honeysuckles, though not a relative thereof, begins to bloom in late winter, typically February, light purple flowers of five petals each and a light (nearly white) central area, by March or early April it is in full bloom, a ground cover which received little thought most of the time but a very good one, will send propagules in winter (a rooted section of the spreading plant), order no later than February 28
