Lina Sisco's Bird Egg

Single Image
VEGETABLES / BEAN
DRY-BUSH
Bush/dry. Horticultrual type. 15 inch tall productive plants produce rounded 6 inch pods that contain 4 to 6 short plump oval beans. Colors of white with red streaks and speckles over the entire surface when harvested new. With a few months the white base color will darken to light tan. Probably the first bean with a story in the early days of SSE. Grown by Lina Sisco who was one of the first six members of SSE in 1975. Grown in Missouri since the 1880's and brought to that state by Lina's grandmother it is said by covered wagon. My Source: ME TH J '12.
