Frosty

Green crisphead lettuce that forms well-developed, moderately solid, circular heads at maturity. The leaves are moderately curly with slight blistering and slight toothing on the leaf edge. The flavor is slightly bitter with some sweetness and a crisp but chewy texture. Plants grow to be between 14.5-17.5 inches across and 6.5-9 inches high. When grown at Heritage Farm in 2020, Frosty was late maturing and very resistant to bolting however, time to maturity was variable. SSE Accession # 111533
