Especially large selected strain. Large nuts, fast growing tree. Do not make the mistake of planting them near a building with a metal roof; they fall heavily and loudly in the autumn. Note that although these nuts are larger than the land race, they are also surrounded by a thicker, wetter and messier hull. Do not plant near potato or tomato fields; the tree is liable to poison these crops through juglone allelopathy. Check availability; can send 20 nuts in fall unless late freeze has damaged the crop.
