Short, stubby fruit is dark green with light green speckles and stripes. Excellent flavor. Very sweet, almost fruity. Crunchy with thin skin. Not bitter. Fruit must be picked frequently or plants will stop producing. Pick when fruit are no more than 4-5 inches long. Fruit turn rust colored very quickly if not picked young. Sometimes fruit form in pairs. Black spines. Pale green flesh. Seed mature fruit are brown and russetted. Moderately vining plants. Mid-season maturing. SSE Accession # 109367
