Southern variety. Yellow and red fruit is similar to Yellow Transparent. Greenish white, soft flesh. Slight acidic flavor. Becomes greasy in storage. Ripens midseason; June to July. Hardy to -50 degrees F with occasional winter injury. Originated in Hopkins County, Kentucky before 1890. Purchased by Stark Brothers Nursery in 1910. SSE Accession # 100240 NCGR-Geneva
