Fruit medium to large with pinkish red skin. Similar to McIntosh in flavor and texture, but more aromatic. Great for sauce. Annual bearer. Rust tolerant. Ripens from July to August depending on location. Hardy to -40 to -50 degrees F. McIntosh x Yellow Transparent. Developed at the New York State AES at Geneva. Introduced in 1923.
