Medium-small conical apples. Skin is largely dull-colored, green with red/orange stripes, Flesh white/green, semi-firm, moderately coarse, juicy, sweet. A very pleasant eating apple that makes up for it's dull appearance. Moderately late in season. Origin, Amherst Co., Virginia, on the farm of Caleb Ralls c 1800. SSE Accession # 100450
