Yellow Arkad

Russian importation to the U.S. in 1870. A medium to large sized, oblate conical apple. Skin: yellow with mottled red blush or sometimes dull red over green to greenish yellow. Flesh is whitish, coarse, juicy, with pleasant subacid flavor. Valued for earliness of bearing and hardiness. SSE Accession # 100569
