Roundish oblate to ovate-conic, medium to large in size. Skin: smooth, grass-green or slightly yellowish, thinly washed to deeply blushed with dull pinkish-crimson. Flesh nearly white, moderately firm, tender and juicy, peculiarly aromatic, pleasant subacid; very good for dessert or kitchen use. Chance seedling found near the Vermont-New York state line and first recorded 1866. SSE Accession # 100583
