Little Creamy

Bush, dry bean. Seeds are small, oval, and buff to yellow colored. Excellent flavor and texture as a dry bean; well-liked by staff. Pods are light green to white, 3-4 long, and contain 3-4 seeds. Plants grow up to 1' tall. Pink flowers. Medium productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Early maturing. Donated to SSE in 1981 by bean collector John Withee of Lynnfield, Massachusetts and the Wanigan Associates. John received this variety from Silas Gilliam of Virginia. Silas got this variety from his mother-in-law, Mary Ison, who had grown the variety for many years in Kentucky. SSE Accession # 101512 John Withee, 1981
