Pole/dry. A good white bean, meaty and smooth. Average productivity. Moderately climbing plants have white flowers. Pencil thin, light green pods are slightly curved and measure 4.3-5.3" long and 0.5" wide. Mature pods are pale yellow. A range of 5-7 seeds per pod. Medium sized white oval seeds. In the mid-1980s, Mrs. Blanche Nuehring (b.1895 - d.1990) of Klemme, IA shared this bean variety with SSE member Gail Cunningham Bailey (IA CU G). Gail grew and listed them in the 1987 SSE Yearbook Exchange saying they had been handed down from Blanche's ancestors. Seeds were donated to SSE by Gail Cunningham Bailey (IA CU G) circa 1992.
