Tama Flint

Flint corn. Some ears have slightly dented kernels, others are more floury than flinty. Some sweet kernels are also present but rare. Ears have a mix of kernel colors including dark blue, red-purple, white, white with blue mottling, and white with red-purple mottling. Solid dark blue ears are common, but a mix of dark blue and red-purple kernels is most common. Kernels are arranged in 8 regular rows, occasionally up to 12. Kernels are medium to large. Ears are cylindrical to cylindrical-conical, 7-10 long. White cobs. Plants 7-8' tall. 1-3 ears per plant, 2 is most common. 2-4 tillers per plant is common. Mid-season maturing.
