Seneca Blue Bear Dance

Flint corn with medium sized blue, purple, and white kernels. This variety of corn came to SSE from Kathryn McGilligan (CA MC K) in the 1990s. It is an Indigenous variety named by Steve McComber, a Mohawk elder and faith keeper from the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory in Quebec, Canada. Steve began sharing the corn in the 1989 SSE Yearbook.
