Cranberry, Goose

A borlotto type bean. 40/oz , 3/8x5/16x14", elongated kidney with rounded ends. Pods 6" in mostly shade, 7" in less shade. Mottled purplish brick red of various shades on cream. (Similar to Spanish Tolosna but lighter and less purple). Tend to split by themselves when dry, so easy to shell. Seed given to me labelled "from SSE 2012" (NV VA B < CA RO D2 06 from CV Hi6 01; or ME LA N from WA AU D). NY VA B calls pod color cream and red streaked. (Pale tan when dry). 90% germination of 5 year old seed. 2023 or 2022 seed.
