Long, warty, slightly curved dark green fruit. Match to Taylor's Guide to Heirloom Vegetables, Watson, 1996, vines are vigorous with large leaves and long tendrils; plants will produce straighter fruits if grown on a trellis; fruits are plump; skin is medium to dark green speckled with pale yellow; white spines; flesh is crisp, firm, and mild-tasting; great for slicing, not for pickles. Pale green flesh. Yellow seed mature fruit. Market mature fruits weigh 5.2-11.6 oz, measure 1.3-2" wide and 6.3-10.2" long. Plants monoecious, highly vining, leaves intermediate lobed.
