Wax type. Plants are 22-33" tall. Green stems with purple nodes. Sparse leaf and stem pubescence. White flowers. Pale green to yellow immature fruit turn orange, then red at maturity. Conic shape, pendant with a few horizontal. Fruit are 4.9-6.0" long, 1.3-1.5" wide, 1.2-1.7 oz. Mid-season maturing, high productivity, 50% of plants lodged when grown in 2013 at Heritage Farm. Very good flavor; sweet; mild to medium heat in wall, placenta is hot; fairly tough skin. This variety was trialed in 2016 at the University of Wisconsin's West Madison Agricultural Research Station and had medium to high productivity and a Brix of 8.3 at harvest. Donated to SSE by John McWilliams (AR MC J) who first listed this variety in the 1993 SSE Yearbook Exchange where he indicated it was a family heirloom grown for many years. SSE Accession # 116753
