VEGETABLES / TOMATO
ORANGE-YELLOW
Grown by Seed Savers Member Kathleen Davidson of Glen Ellyn, IL in 2017 for the Citizen Science Corps Program. Indeterminate plants had regular leaf. High fruit set of smaller round yellow fruits 1.5 inches long by 1-2" wide. Fruit had a small amount of slipping after a soaking rain. The leaves were susceptible to septoria leaf spot. Tomatoes were mild tasting with a slight citrusy flavor. The skin was a bit thick and texture a bit mealy. Favorite uses included marinated in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, herbs, and then dehydrated. They were also good for a quick skin on sautéed sauce.
