VEGETABLES / TOMATO
RED
Organic Listing
Determinate, regular leaf. Very strong stocky 12"-18" plant benefits from staking to support the weight of the crop, produces a heavy load of small 1-2 oz red fruit. Extremely early, adapted for the short, cold climate of northern Idaho. Did very well for me in Spokane, WA (near the Idaho panhandle), but not so well in California when transplanted at the same time as other main-season tomatoes. If you live in a warmer climate, consider starting more plants than usual and transplanting some out each of 3 weeks, 2 weeks, and 1 week early. Developed in 1978 by Dr. Art Boe of Idaho and released commercially in 1980. Great container tomato. 65 days.
