Marabelle

Red, round spring radish. 25 days to maturity. Very uniform. White flesh with light pink speckles in the center. Crisp, moderately sweet, mildly pungent. Roots 1" in diameter. 4-5" tops. Roots somewhat susceptible to cracking and don't hold particularly well in the ground after maturity. Acquired by SSE from Johnny's Selected Seeds (CV Jo1) of Maine, which began selling this variety in 1982. It was bred by Dutch seedhouse A.R. Zwaan. SSE Accession # 118629
