C. pepo. Small pumpkins with orange skin, slightly ribbed skin, and thin pale orange flesh. Fruit measure 5.3-7.5 inches long, 5-8.5 inches wide, and weigh up to 8.5 pounds. Moderately vining. Mid-season maturing and average productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. This is a nice little pie pumpkin. Dry matter content 7.19. BRIX reading 5.0. This variety was developed by Seed Savers Exchange member, Glenn Drowns of Calamus, Iowa in the early 1980s. A native of Idaho, Glenn bred this variety (while he was still a college student) as an early-maturing pie type that could be grown in short-season climates. He began sharing it in the 1983 seed Exchange, where it has been shared for more than 20 years. SSE Accession # 120087
