C.-ARGYROSPERMA
Organic Listing
Also known as White Crookneck Pumpkin. Cushaw type, C. mixta.
Long grown in Illinois, including by Abraham Lincoln, and a favorite for pies. Used the same way as pumpkin.
Large white club shaped fruit, with some moderate green striping. Fruit can grow up to 30" long, although the biggest one I grew topped out at 26". Weight varied from 10 lbs to 30 lbs. All the seeds are in the bulbous end, with the neck being all meat. Prolific, easy to grow, and always a conversation starter.
