Giant Czechoslovakian

Very large, very long season kohlrabi. Stems can reach the size of a human head after 100-120 days and do not begin swelling up until after ~60 days. Must be planted in the spring. Stems do not get woody, but remain crisp, juicy, and flavorful. Plants are large, requiring twice as much space as normal varieties. There is some variation in color and stem swelling in this variety. A few plants show more purple pigmentation that others and these tend to develop a smaller stem.
