Greek Giant

Tall, striking plants with dark purple inflorescences. 5-6' tall at Heritage Farm but others report taller plants. Purple-green leaves and pink stems. Susceptible to lodging. Black seeds. This variety came to SSE from Joseph Philip (PA PH J), who shared it in the SSE Yearbook Exchange during the 2000s; from the island of Crete in Greece. SSE Accession # 100136
