VEGETABLES / BEAN
SNAP-POLE
Pole bean given to me by John Coykendall at the 2019 SSE Conference and Campout. From Seiver County, Tennesee. Here is what John shared: "I got these beans from Connie Clabo. He lives in Sevier County, Tennessee in the Smoky Mountains. These are an old heirloom variety from the area. It is an all purpose bean – good for fresh eating, shelling, and dry. They are grown as a stick bean (pole) or they are grown in corn fields. To be successful with corn they need to grow on sturdy field corn.”
