Neck Pumpkin

Single Image
VEGETABLES / SQUASH
C.-MOSCHATA
Aptly described by Amy Goldman as "the giraffe of the necked squash." Squash have a very long, thick neck with a small, bulbous blossom end. Neck is highly curved. Buff colored fruit. 8-15lbs. Brilliant orange flesh. Fair flavor. Mildly sweet, a little stringy, moist. Would make a good pie. Brix 7.8. Very productive at Heritage Farm. Silvered leaves. Highly vining. Cucurbita moschata.
