B. napus. Siberian kale. Leaves are very tough but crisp. Bitter to the point of being unpleasant. Green leaves are spoon shaped and have toothed margins. Stems green-purple or green-red. Petioles purple. Moderate leaf bloom, intermediate surface blistering. Leaves 16-20" long and 6.5-9.5" wide. Low amount of lodging and susceptible to black rot when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Given to SSE by Alan Kapuler (OR KA A) who obtained the variety from CV Sh12. It's described by Kapuler as a: "Peace Seeds selection from Frank Morton's cross of Red Russian and True Siberian kales."
