Dollar Tomato

Small pink beefsteak. Good flavor, meaty texture, with thin walls. Moderately sweet, low acidity. Slightly flattened fruit, have slight ribbing on stem end. Fruit have superficial radial cracks. Intermediate splitting tendency. Dark pink flesh. Fruit average 1lb and are 3-5" wide. Indeterminate plants have dense dark green foliage. Regular type leaves. Plants measure 5-6' tall. Brix 5.0. Mid season maturity and low productivity when grown at Heritage Farm in 2018. Donated to SSE in the 1980s by Thelma Sinift (OH SI T) who acquired this variety in 1981. Thelma described this variety in the 1982 SSE Yearbook Exchange as one which had been "kept in originator's family over 100 years." SSE Accession # 121496
