Lao Lavender

Beautiful lush plants! A standout variety during the 2021 growout at Heritage Farm. Mild-flavored fruit is firm and therefore requires a longer cooking time. Small, oval to round light purple colored fruits with white mottling. Market mature fruit measure 1-2.5" long, 1.85-3' in diameter, and weigh up to 4.5 oz. Pendant fruits have a few prickles on the stems. Pedicels have a few prickles. Creamy white flesh color. Seed mature fruit are yellow brown and measure 2.3-3" long, 2.6-3" in diameter and weigh 4.5-7.5 oz. Upright plants 17-26" tall. Pubescent leaves with purple stems. Light purple flowers. Mid-season maturing. Notably seedy with a thicker skin and minimal sweetness. Highly productive and delightfully ornamental in 2024 at Heritage Farm. SSE Accession # 109484
