Chantenay type. Good flavor, low astringency, moderately sweet. Squat, orange, obtriangular roots have rounded, green shoulders. Roots taper to a point. Smooth to ridged skin. Large, solid orange to yellow core. Roots measure 3-4.5" long, 1.5-2" wide, and weigh 2-4oz. Relatively uniform. Low splitting and cracking tendency. Medium-short tops. Leaves relatively numerous with thick petioles. Semi-erect, green leaves have few hairs. Plants measure 1.0-1.6' tall. Roots fully buried below soil line. Low bolting tendency. Brix 7.7.
