Large, elliptic, heavily netted, ribbed melon. Yellow when ripe. Fruit 7-10 inches long, 7-9 inches wide, and 6-10 pounds at maturity. Thick, yellow-green rind. Light green flesh, with an orange blush in the seed cavity. Fair to good flavor is similar to a honeydew. Moderately sweet but not super aromatic or complex. Great texture. Firm and juicy. Brix reading 9.0. Highly productive plants. Early to mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Isabel Cunningham & Emma Schramm. This is a variety developed by Emma Schramm's grandfather, Louis Schramm, circa 1918 in Anne Arundel County, MD. Selected from the 'Bottomley' melon. SSE Accession # 113263
