Moon & Stars (Van Doren) OG

Vining annual that products two to three round to oblong medium sized watermelons per plant. Melons are dark green to dark blue with small-to-large circular yellow areas--the small ones start, the large ones moons. Leaves and seed also have the light colored speckles. Fruit interior is dark pink to red, juicy, and sweet. The taste is good, the appearance is remarkable, well worth growing if you've got a long enough, hot enough growing season with lots of sunshine and water. Seems to be fairly adaptable, grew and produced well at my location at 3000' elevation in amended red clay soil in the foothills of northern California. Organic seed.
