VEGETABLES / TOMATO
RED
A good southern variety, but also does well for me in my Wisconsin garden. Released as a disease resistant variety in 1961 by Dr. Joe McFerran of the University of Arkansas. Fruits are pink-red with a sweet, mild tomato with just the right amount of acidity to make it have an ‘old-timey’ taste. The fruits also seem to ripen around the same time, so good if you plan to can. Regular leaves, semi-determinate. About 75 days to maturity after transplanting.
