VEGETABLES / TOMATO
ORANGE-YELLOW
A pale yellow plum tomato. What makes this tomato unique is its almost total lack of acidity. Superb flavor. 2.5-3" long, 1.5-2" wide. 3-4 fruit per cluster. Indeterminate. Tall, wispy plants. Moderately productive. Regular leaves. Mid-season. Donated to SSE in 2016 by Dr. Jeff McCormack, founder of Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. Jeff received this variety from Terry Anderson of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and was told that the tomatoes come from the Coeburn, Virginia area and have been passed down for generations. Likely named for Willie Yates, whose grandfather also grew the variety. SSE Accession # 133080
