Long White

Elongated, white fruit. Straight to slightly curved. Prickles on the calyx and pedicel. A few spines on the stems too. Market fruit 7-9" long, 1.5-2" wide, 3-6oz. Plants reach 1.5-2' tall. Purple flowers. Medium-high productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Suzanne Ashworth (CA AS S) who PA NO D. this variety from Zea Sonnabend (CA SO Z). Sonnabend got it from Eric Gleissman who obtained the variety from Thai immigrants near Stockton, California. A variety by this name has been exchanged in the SSE Yearbook Exchange for at least 20 years. SSE Accession # 109690
