Brilliance

Nantes type. Cylindrical, thick, orange roots with a slight taper and blunt tip. Some variation in size and shape. Uniformly orange core. Moderate root splitting in 2016 growout at Heritage Farm. No forking. Some green discoloration on root shoulders. Slightly coarse skin with a few ridges. Flat crown; moderate leaf vigor. Roots 5-7" long at market maturity. Fair flavor, less sweet, somewhat dry. Donated to SSE in 2004 by Erin Micki Taylor (KS TA E) of Skyfire Garden Seeds. Acquired by Taylor from Western Hybrid Seeds, Inc. of Hamilton City, CA.
