Rocambole type. Large bulbs are streaked with purple and contain 5-9 large cloves, arranged in a single layer around the scape. Cloves are light brown with vivid red-purple streaks. Vigorous, robust plants produce thick, coiled scapes. Stores well. Donated to SSE in the mid 2000s by Exchange lister William & Elaine Robinson (MD RO W) of Maryland. They received the variety from fellow Exchange lister Lila Towle (DENM TO L) of Denmark who indicated the garlic had been collected in a Tallinn market.
