Dorie Smith Brown

Carl Cowan (TN CO C) of Byrdstown, Tennessee introduced this bean into the 1988 SSE Yearbook. He commented that it grows well in dry weather and described it as "in family 100 years." He shared the variety with Exchange lister Donald Sparks (KY SP D), who gave it to Ann Fuller (IN FU A) of Wilkinson, Indiana. Fuller later donated this variety to SSE circa 1995.
