Pole. Early and prolific. Vines to 8 feet. Produced 6 inch pods contained up to 7 shiny black seeds. Best as a dry bean, but also can be used as a shelling or snap bean when young. These little roundish beans are a very pretty, shiny black or very dark purple. Ukrainian heirloom. Source: IL CR R. Package contains 25 seeds.
