Grandma Aiello's

52" vine produces 2-2 1/2" wide 3" high, 150g, dark pink fruits (large plums) with point, productive (not early), nice taste, attractive. Ripened 8/31 (2020). Brought to Racine WI in 1929 from Calabria IT. Produces heavily in cold wet and also hot dry summers. Some cracking, and also some disease in October. A winner here except that the plant sprawls at least 10' each direction in half day sun. It climbed over currant bushes and the lower branches of a nearby apple tree.. 2025 seed. Freezes well cut in pieces.
