Butterhead. Moderately heading. Green, round leaves have moderate burgundy tinge covering majority of leaf blade. Moderate surface blistering and slight leaf undulation. Smooth leaf margin. Plants average 6" tall and 12" in diameter. Largest leaves average 7.8" long by 8.3" wide. Good texture. Standard flavor, slightly bitter. Black seeded. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by William Woys Weaver (PA WE W) who obtained it from Arche Noah (SA 136); from Croatia. SSE Accession # 112539
