Frank Barnett found this pole wax bean in Leslie County Kentucky. 75 snap 90 dry. This bean is a real treasure. The plump mature pods develop red splotches and are string-free. Like other Appalachian beans, it is usually eaten as a "full" bean when the seeds are maturing. They remain tender until they start to dry.
