Small, red globe tomato commonly produced in clusters of 8-10 fruit, with as many as 18. Fruit are rounded to slightly flattened. A small fraction of fruit are fasciated. Slightly ribbed at stem end. Fruit measure 1.5-2" long, 1.5-3" wide, and weigh 2-3oz. Red flesh. Tart and not very sweet. Brix score: 5.0. Regular leaves. Indeterminate, medium-sized, robust plants reach ~3.5' tall. Highly productive when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Early maturing. Acquired by SSE from Thompson & Morgan. CV Tho offered the variety from 1981-1989, but did not include any information about the history of this variety in their catalogs. It was referenced in a book published in the UK in 1967, suggesting that it was available since the late 60s in Britain. It is unknown when the variety entered the US seed market, though according to SSE’s GSI publications, it was available from 1981-1998. As of 2014, it can be purchased from at least 1 seed company in the US. SSE Accession # 121918
