Giant Swiss Mountain Spinach

Single Image
VEGETABLES / ORACH
Green, heart-shaped leaves with a velvety texture. Orach is a spinach substitute that fares better in the heat. Pinch flower heads to encourage branching and continuous leaf production. Start harvesting leaves when the plants reach about 18" tall. Start by picking lower leaves and move upwards as the leaves get larger. Plants reach over 6' tall and will begin bolting in mid summer for a spring planting. SSE Accession # 114494
