Full, tall plants growing 3-4'. Non-pigmented plants. Few prickles on pedicel. Pubescent, dull leaves with intermediate lobing. Purple flowers, commonly born in clusters of 2-5. Elongated, slightly curved, dark purple fruit, born in clusters of 1-4. Market mature fruit average 7.7"" long, 1.5"" wide, and 4.4 oz. Fruit become yellow-brown at seed maturity. High fruit set. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Marianne Jones (TN JO M) who received the variety from Jeremiath Gettle (MO GE J). Obtained by Gettle from Rose-Marie Lacherez (AUSL LA R) of Queensland, Australia. Originally purchased by Lacherez in 1991 from the Australian company New Gippsland Seed & Bulbs.
