AKA "Schimmeig Stoo" and "Striped Cavern". Indeterminate. Regular leaf. Vigorous vines produce a heavy crop of racquet ball size hollow fruits with two to four cells, reddish orange with yellow stripes on shoulders. Developed by Tom Wagner in the 1970s, and originally named by him as "Schimmeig Stoo". He sent it out for test trials in 1979 and a few years later, circa 1981, it showed up in the Thompson and Morgan catalog as Striped Cavern. It later morphed into Schimmeig Striped Hollow. "Schimmeig Stoo" means "Striped Hollow" in the Gaelic/Norse language of his grandfather on his mother's side. A very striking, compact stuffing tomato, with better taste than usual for a stuffing tomato.
