Greenish-yellow, looseleaf lettuce. Innermost leaves form a slight romaine-like heart. Leaves are moderately toothed and with a slightly blistered surface. Tender leaves with a slightly sweet and slightly bitter flavor. Crisp and juicy midribs. Leaves reach 9-12" long by 5-7" wide at market maturity. Plants measure 9-12" tall by 14-17" wide at market maturity. Black seeded. Acquired by SSE from Unwins Seeds in the early 1980s. SSE Accession # 111437
